Join us this Thursday!

March 20 5-7pm
Center for the Arts, Center Commons (Glenwood Entrance)

Join "New Normal" exhibiting artist Ava Reynolds, Wyoming Outdoor Council, and JH Climate Action Collective for an evening of art and climate advocacy. This event will explore the environmental themes behind "New Normal," featuring an artist talk, insights on climate policy from Margie Lynch of JHCAC, and a call to action from the Wyoming Outdoor Council with a hands-on letter writing campaign. Attendees will have the opportunity to craft personal messages advocating for critical climate programs that benefit Jackson and Wyoming as a whole. Light refreshments will be provided.

Why It Matters:
Following Executive Order 14154, hundreds of community-benefiting programs—many funded by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL)—have been frozen. These programs support energy efficiency, lower utility costs, reduce emissions, and enhance local resilience across Wyoming. While some funding may be restored in the coming weeks, several initiatives remain at risk of being repealed entirely. Your voice can help make a difference!

Great news!

The justices, in a 6-1 ruling, rejected the state’s argument that greenhouse gases released from Montana fossil fuel projects are minuscule on a global scale and reducing them would have no effect on climate change, likening it to asking: “If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you do it to...

Wyoming has been allocated almost $70 million in home efficiency and electrification rebates under the Inflation Reduction Act. We are extremely excited that Wyoming is providing residents and businesses with the opportunity to provide feedback as the state works to design the program. Verbal comments are being accepted tomorrow evening and written comments through this Friday.

WEA is in the process of developing the Wyoming Home Energy Savings Program (HESP). This program is designed to help residents save money on their energy bills by funding projects to make homes or apartments more energy efficient.

WEA invites all community members to participate in a public input session at 5 pm MT on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, to share feedback on the proposed Home Energy Savings Program. The session will be held both in person and online, and attendees must register in advance to provide comments.

Jackson Hole Climate Action Collective is thrilled to welcome our Mountain Towns colleagues to Jackson for the Climate Solutions Summit! We are a Summit sponsor and have organized two workshops: 1) Reducing GHG Emissions From Mountain Town Airports and Air Travel and 2) Pursuing Successful Climate Action in Red States. Other local community members have organized some fantastic sessions as well.

It was the 1st Climate Solutions Summit in Park City in 2019 that spurred the creation of our organization, and we are thrilled to anticipate all the amazing climate actions that will arise across our mountain communities as a result of the content and conversations at the Summit.

We look forward to meeting and working with all of you!
