This happy girl is Macy. She came to us from a local shelter several weeks ago. She limps on her right rear leg due to an old fracture just below her knee that wasn’t treated in a timely manner. Unfortunately it’s too late to do surgery but Macy doesn’t appear to be in any pain at this point, so our vet believes she will do fine “as is.” She will always have a slight limp but it doesn’t slow her down one bit! We believe Macy is a Border Collie mix, about 2 years old. She is petite at just 29 pounds with a gorgeous fluffy coat that is grey and white. Macy is active, intelligent and full of s***k. She loves playing with other dogs in social settings but she would prefer to be the only dog living in your household. No cats, please, because she wants to chase them. Macy needs a securely fenced yard where she can safely romp and burn that beautiful energy. Macy is a herder, which means she is not meant to lay around and sleep all day. She wants a job and companionship at all times. She is not a dog who would thrive sitting in a crate all day. Macy likes treats and playing with toys, but she absolutely loves being the center of attention with her person. Foster mom says Macy is a very sweet girl and she really wants to please. She would love to sleep in bed with her humans because she really craves closeness with her people. She walks very well on a leash, once she has had time to run and get her yayas out, and she knows how to sit and shake. She loves to chase a ball and play tug. Macy is a fun, smart girl who is sure to delight her new family for many years to come.
Macy is fully vetted and you can apply to adopt her by submitting an application at www.sohfga.com.
