We’re excited to share that thanks to the generous support of the L.H. Field Family Foundation, every high school, middle school, and college library, along with all 13 branches of the Jackson District Library, will receive copies of several of our historical publications!🎉📚

These books tell the incredible stories of Jackson County’s rich history, from its automotive legacy to Civil War connections, early settlements, and more! The titles being distributed include:

The Surprising Automotive Heritage of Jackson, Michigan
A History of Music in Jackson County, Michigan
Camp Waterloo – Jackson County’s POW Camp
Camp Blair: A Civil War Camp 1864-1866
The Poor Farm: Jackson's Forgotten Institution
Civil War Era Jackson Walking Tour
History of Coal Mining in Jackson County

The Early History, Settlement, and Growth of Jackson, Michigan

We’re thrilled to make these books more accessible to students and the community, helping to keep local history alive for future generations!
