Mr. Woodson’s legacy is one that will continue to live on through every life he touched, every community he strengthened, and every leader he inspired. His vision, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to empowering communities have changed this nation for the better.

As a proud member of the Woodson Center Community Affiliate Network, Our 3 Memorial Foundation has witnessed firsthand the impact of his work and the heart behind his mission. He believed in people, in restoration, and in the power of communities to heal themselves from within.

We are deeply saddened by this loss, but profoundly grateful for the path he paved and the example he set. Praying for his family, loved ones, and the entire Woodson Center community during this difficult time.

Rest well, Mr. Woodson. Your legacy will continue to light the way for generations to come. 🕊️

Taking place July 30 – August 2, this powerful gathering brings together voices committed to healing, growth, and community. And Valencia is bringing an essential conversation to the room.

Her session, “Sacred Silence or Sacred Safety,” will explore the cultural, familial, and spiritual dynamics that often silence survivors. Even more importantly, she’ll offer compassionate, practical strategies for responding to disclosures in ways that center safety, belief, and healing.

Three new housing resources are now live in our Education Hub:
• A survivor-friendly affordability worksheet
• A landlord negotiation one-pager
• A step-by-step housing search guide
As you may know, rent prices often exceed what many families can realistically afford at 30% of income. That is not a personal failure. It is a housing market reality.
These tools help survivors slow down, calculate wisely, and choose stability over pressure.
