🌟 FCCLA MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: MARLEIGH DUNCAN! 🌟

Mississippi FCCLA is proud to celebrate Marleigh Duncan of Long Beach High School and her incredible entrepreneurial journey! ❤️💙

This weekend, Marleigh made her debut at Peezy’s Kitchen inside the Gulfport Premium Outlets as the Gulfport Premium Outlet Mall Food Court celebrated its grand reopening! 🎉

Marleigh was named FCCLA Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2026 NTHS Career & Entrepreneurship Expo: 100 Years of CTE! for her amazing business, Divine Sweets & Treats. 🍰🧁

Her success is a wonderful example of what FCCLA is all about—turning passion into purpose, developing real-world skills, and giving students opportunities to become successful entrepreneurs in their communities.

A special shoutout to Mrs. Brown, FCCLA Advisor and Family & Consumer Science Teacher at Long Beach High School, for helping create opportunities for FCCLA members to take their businesses from an idea to the real world! Mrs. Brown is working alongside community partners to help provide retail opportunities for FCCLA members and aspiring young entrepreneurs. 👏

Marleigh is just the beginning, and we cannot wait to see where her entrepreneurial journey takes her! Congratulations, Marleigh! We are so proud of you! 💙❤️

👏 Special thanks to Patrick Bennett, Lindsey Todd, Betsy Hertz, and Christina Ladner for supporting Marleigh and helping make these opportunities possible!

What an incredible week at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.! ❤️💙

Mississippi FCCLA state staff, chapter members, advisors, and guests had an unforgettable week connecting with members from across the nation, developing leadership skills, and making lifelong memories.

Yesterday marked our final day in our nation’s capital. We celebrated the accomplishments of our competitive events participants during the Recognition Session and wrapped up the conference with one last opportunity for members to celebrate together at the NLC After Party.

We are incredibly grateful to our chapter advisors for investing in and bringing their students to this amazing experience. A special thank you to our State Adviser, Pamela Lee, for her unwavering dedication and hard work throughout the past year. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Shanta Washington, Mississippi Department of Education Director of Student Organizations, for stepping in to support and lead our advisors throughout the conference.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s National Leadership Conference such a success. We can’t wait to see you all again at our Mississippi FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference!

Be sure to follow our social media pages for announcements, conference updates, and important dates. Safe travels home, and thank you for representing Mississippi FCCLA with excellence!
