Jackson Agtech 21st CLC Afterschool Program

Due to the depletion of our 21st CCLC Grant, there will not be an AgTECH Program for the 2022-2023 school year. However, look forward in the near future for clubs, programs, etc. that your child can become involved in after school this year.

Wendy Padgett , 4-H Foundation Regional Extension Agent with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System visited Ag-Tech on Tuesday where she shared a fun hands-on program about Beneficial and Pesky Garden Bugs! Students learned to identify good and bad bugs in the garden. They also talked about bug anatomy and learned about symmetry by creating, designing and eating their very own symmetry bug snacks!

Boy oh boy, our summer AgTECH students had
fun last week at the Exploreum in Mobile, AL!
They were able to explore the Hands on Hall,
Curiosity Factor, My Bodyworks, and Illusion
exhibits! They also watched the IMAX movie,
Backyard!

Jackson AgTECH 21st CCLC summer program students are been having a blast this summer exploring and learning! During their first week they visited the USS Alabama! 🚢

The students at our Jackson AgTECH Summer program are teaming up with the Red Cross to become Pint-Sized Hero’s to help save lives. Please help support our Hero’s by donating blood at our local blood drive on June 8, 2022 from 8:00 to 1:00. Our blood drive will be located in the gym at Jackson Intermediate School. This blood drive is open to the public. Thank you for supporting our community!

Summer AgTECH begins TOMORROW, May 31st @ 8:00am for students who received an acceptance letter. Mandatory parent meeting in gym @ 8:00am. We are excited to see everyone!

☀️21st Century Summer AgTECH applications went home with students today! Spots are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis.

We are looking forward to an educational and fun filled summer! Students will get to enjoy weekly field trips, PE/games, STEAM, art, culinary activities, music, reading/math interventions and enrichment activities!

**For students who will be entering grades 2-8 for the upcoming 22-23 school year.

**Lunch and snack will be served daily.
