Servant Leaders Institute would like to extend a special thank you to Flora Gray-Haley for partnering with us to provide self-care kits for the leaders in our cohort. Cohort sessions have centered on social-emotional learning, leadership, and charting a course for the future. The self-care kits came just in time! Thank you for continuously supporting young leaders, Flora! Want to join Flora in supporting SLI? Do so here ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Jackson’s Westin Hotel banquet room was filled to capacity January 30, 2026, with Hinds County Human Resource Agency staffers/board members, family members, and friends who gathered to celebrate the past, present, and future of the 50 year old community staple. The program marked the retirement of President/CEO Kenn Cockrell who has led the Agency since 1993, and his successor, Chelsea Luster, who trained under him over the past 10 years. HCHRA is a leader in Head Start/Early Head Start, Home Energy Assistance, Home-Delivered Meals, Rural Public Transportation, Congregate Meals, Emergency Assistance, Employment, and Education Assistance. Cockrell and Luster are pictured seated with Reps. Stephanie McKenzie Foster and Fabian Nelson, who both congratulated the dynamic duo on their love of community. (Photo: Anita Young)
