The young ladies of the G2W Mentor Program were able to camp out and explore Galloway Family Farm. They had a great time and really enjoyed connecting with nature and agriculture on a deeper level.

Uncle Jerry's Farm coordinated and sponsored this event. The event was funded by the USDA and NRCS.

We were so glad to coordinate and sponsor this event with the great hosts at Galloway Family Farm. We provided education and training to the young ladies of G2W Mentors on urban agriculture.

The girls were able to camp out, feed chickens, sample herbs and vegetables fresh off the stem, and have dinner and a movie around the campfire.

This wonderful event was funded by the USDA/NRCS.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is announcing the fiscal year 2022 assistance opportunities for agricultural producers and private landowners for key programs, such as the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP), Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP), and Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) program. While USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) accepts applications for these programs year-round, producers and landowners should apply by state-specific, ranking dates to be considered for this year’s funding.
