Change In Plans for Tomorrow's City of Forest Day

The P.S. 69 grounds are off limits so those activities that planned there will take place at other locations.
This is the new plan for our family-frfiendly event:
* Beginning at 10 a.m, volunteers will plant daffodil bulbs in street-tree gardens along 37th Avenue; These activities will run until 1 p.m.
Instructions: Meet 10 a.m. at the Jackson Heights Post Office on 37th Avenue between 78th and 79th Streets.
* At 1 p.m. volunteers will help plant a butterfly garden (and learn about what makes them special) at the Jackson Heights library on 81st Street, north of 37th Avenue. Those who want to participate are asked to register in advance. https://www.eventbrite.com/.../city-of-forest-day-at...

New Yorkers across the city will be observing City of Forest Day on Saturday, Oct. 3. Two events will be sponsored by JHBG here in Jackson Heights. Please join us for fun and educational activities that celebrate trees and their importance to the environment, especially in our city. JHBG Tree LC supplies the tools and gloves. Please bring drinking water.

We hope to see you there.
