STOMP hosted our 2nd Annual CHOICES: A Journey Through Crime and Justice, and what an impactful two days it was!

On day one, we hosted a DWI simulation at the Jacksboro High School parking lot for the seniors from Jacksboro, Bryson, and Perrin. This year, we added an ER scene inside the gym where students witnessed paramedics bringing in a severely injured victim while the impaired driver refused the BAC blood draw. We also partnered with MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), who spoke with students about the real-life impact and consequences of impaired driving.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was our Q&A session with first responders, where students were able to ask honest questions and gain valuable insight from those who see these situations firsthand every day.

On day two, we brought the scenario to life even further by hosting a mock trial at the Jack County Courthouse. Using body cam footage and evidence gathered from the DWI simulation, students stepped into the roles of county officials and participated in a realistic courtroom experience. Judge Umphress always does an incredible job helping make this experience meaningful and educational for our youth.

These are the kinds of opportunities that leave lasting impressions and help students understand that one decision can change lives forever.

A HUGE thank you to all of our first responders, schools, volunteers, MADD, Judge Umphress, and community partners for helping make this event such a success. We are so thankful for everyone who pours into the next generation alongside STOMP!

Out of the Dust is now Redeemed Recovery
Because recovery is more than leaving the past behind — it’s about becoming NEW through faith, grace, and redemption.

We are so excited to officially welcome Sarah Dalton to the STOMP team as our Wise County Student Prevention Education Specialist! 🎉

Sarah is a graduating Master’s-level social worker from the DFW metroplex and a proud Decatur High School alumna. She is passionate about bringing social work into school settings and supporting students in meaningful, preventative ways.

Sarah has a heart for showing up for students consistently and helping them feel seen, supported, and cared for before challenges become overwhelming. She believes strong relationships and early intervention can truly change lives, and we could not agree more.

You’ll be seeing Sarah in Wise County schools and out in the community representing STOMP at different events, programs, and outreach opportunities. We are incredibly excited for the impact she is going to make in Wise County! 💙
