In Nov 2016, Barb Richardson, Founder/President, passed in her sleep. A few months before, Barb had contacted Animal Angels Sanctuary, to ask for a commitment that any HBAR microchipped animal be taken into Animal Angels, if any were to ever need a place. Upon agreement, Barb and Animal Angels had begun the legal process. After Barb's death, HBAR Board of Directors voted to merge with Animal Angel

s, with Animal Angels being the surviving entity. Animal Angels has a 40-acre open-campus style Sanctuary in Jacksboro, Tx, which is a lifetime home for some 275 dogs and a dozen equine.
