🚨Jacksboro City Manager’s Disastrous Decision Overturned-Officers Cleared🚨

JACKSBORO, TX— Every Jacksboro Texas Police Department police officer suspended in December 2024 has been fully reinstated exactly as TMPA said they should be. They have been cleared of all wrongdoing, confirming that the allegations were baseless.

This disgraceful attack on dedicated officers damaged lives, endangered public safety, and exposed failed leadership at the highest level. The Jacksboro City Manager made a disastrous call, and now it’s time for accountability.

Congratulations Sgt Stone and K9 Dennis! We are proud of both of you, well mainly Dennis for putting up with you! 🤣 We can’t wait to have y’all back and showing what you can do!
For those who don’t know Sgt Stone spent a ruff 5 weeks in the Houston area earning this certification. Not only was Sgt Stone away from his family for 5 weeks, during that time his daughter had to have emergency surgery to remove her appendix. Sgt Stone’s dedication to earn this certification to make Jacksboro a safer place is beyond commendable and we are proud he is a member of Jacksboro Texas Police Department and I’m proud to not only call him a friend, but my brother. Enjoy your well earned weekend off Sgt Stone and let’s hit it Monday!

Now that we have had a few hours to process and recover from last night, we want to again say thank you to our amazing community for their support. I would also like to thank all of the first responders, and JISD who came out in force to supplement our numbers. Each of you truly blessed these kids tonight. You poured out love to complete strangers and gave them a night they won’t forget. I am blessed and humbled to know each of you. Thank you all for what you do everyday!

Our first annual Shop with a Cop was amazing! We took 16 amazing kiddos to Walmart in Graham and had a great time! Thank you to everyone who donated their money and time to make this a possibility! The outpouring of love from our citizens was such a blessing! We can’t wait till next year!

The Jacksboro Police Association and TMPA demanded transparency and accountability and call on the mayor and city council to immediately call an emergency session and address this matter!

🚨 TMPA DEMANDS ACTION IN JACKSBORO 🚨

TMPA and the Jacksboro Police Association are calling for the immediate removal of City of Jacksboro City Manager Mike Smith due to repeated retaliation, poor leadership, and misconduct.

📹 Smith suspended two officers and the Police Chief after they followed protocol, documenting his alleged intoxication at a city event.
❌ He’s also accused of unresolved officer pay issues and revoking benefits out of retaliation.

This behavior is unacceptable. We demand the Mayor and City Council act now to restore integrity and rebuild public trust.

Our hearts are heavy with the devastating news of Terrell Police Officer and TMPA member Jacob Candanoza, who was tragically murdered during a traffic stop by a coward who fled into Van Zandt County.

This heartbreaking loss is a chilling reminder of the dangers our officers face every single day as they selflessly serve and protect for the greater good.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jacob’s family, the Terrell Police Department, and the entire law enforcement community. Rest easy, Jacob. We will never forget your sacrifice.

Shop with a Cop is happening December 19th! We are humbled and amazed with the amazing support that the generous citizens of our community have shown us to make this dream a reality. But now, we are asking y’all for one more thing. We aren’t asking for financial support. We are asking for your time. We need you to show up! We need you to pack the square on the 19th and help us es**rt these kids out of the city to Graham! Pack it like you do when our sports teams leave. Show these kids how much they are loved! We will update this week with a time for the send off!

Great job Officer Ragle!

Last night at the City of Jacksboro Council meeting, Assistant Chief Stewart Chalmers of the Weatherford Police Department recognized Officer Gabby Ragle with an accommodation for her extraordinary off-duty service, thwarting an attempted kidnapping in Weatherford. Jacksboro Police Chief Corb also recognized Officer Gabby Ragle for her off-duty service.

The City of Jacksboro Staff and Council are very proud of her and excited to see her grow as an officer. Great Job Officer Ragle!!!!!!!!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Greenville, TX Police Department and the officers family. This senseless violence is becoming increasingly more common and it needs to end!

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Greenville Police Officer and TMPA member Cooper Dawson, who succumbed to his injuries after being violently ambushed during a foot pursuit.

Officer Dawson’s courage and commitment to serving his community will never be forgotten. His sacrifice is a stark reminder of the dangers our law enforcement officers face every day in the line of duty.

🙏 Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the Greenville Police Department during this devastating time. Rest in peace, Officer Dawson—your legacy of bravery will live on.
