Our Story

Our Jacksboro Lions Club was organized on June 15, 1928, by C.P. Minion with 25 members. The club was chartered on June 22, 1928. Dr. C. E. Putman was the first president and James Boase was the first Secretary-Treasurer. There have been multiple members that have provided leadership to the State and District 2-E1 over the years. We remain a strong and active group of women and men coming together to carry out our mission, "We Serve" in our community and state.
