Good afternoon, I regret to inform you all that I am unable to run Tiny Tigers Basketball this season. This is because a variety of reasons,
1) I have been unable to hire staff for the program. The program requires that staff be fingerprinted through the Department of Education. The reason for this is the program runs when school students are still on campus. The district offers a Title 1 Study Hall until 3pm and students are still in the building waiting for Late Bus until 3pm as well. In order to run Tiny Tigers I need 3 staff members that have passed the fingerprint background check.
2) I (Michelle) have faced some health situations that I need to make my priority. I am fine, but there are some things I need to do to remain that way. I am not available to do program at this time because of this. I was hopeful that I could hire three staff members so we can still host the program. Unfortunately, I was not able to do so as our school staff has been pulled in multiple directions and do not have the availability to commit to the program at this time.
3) As many of you know, we have one gym and it is utilized for Varsity and Middle School sports the remainder of the year.
I am truly saddened to write to you all, as I love the program as much as the kids do and it has been my pleasure to host the program for the past thirteen years.
