August Monthly Meeting

ATTENDEES
Kristin Johns, Jennifer King, Logan and Giselle Davis, Emily Everheart, Shea Hurd, Ashley Little, Ashley Daly, Lauren Parker, Layla Arnette, Christa Hobart, and Marsha Jordan.
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
A regularly scheduled meeting of ZCS PTO was held on September 20, 2018 in the Auditorium. The meeting was called to order at 6:01 pm by Shea Hurd, PTO President.
Minutes and Financial Report
Minutes: The minutes from the past meeting were reviewed and are available for review.
Financial Report: Ashley Carson, Treasurer, was unable to attend meeting. Shea Hurd gave an update. Current balance is 6,722.59. A deposit in the amount of $ 970.00 which came from the sale of calendars was made this month. The withdrawals totaled $ 1,671.64; money was withdrawn for the following: # 1,250 for gift card to give teachers, $ 72.00 for the yearly rent of Post Office Box, $ 270.00 for the printing of calendars to sell, Bette Bradley award for $13.76, and money for Jack Day.
AGENDA
Old Business
Due to a loss in the community and member of Altrusa, Jack Day was cancelled and may be rescheduled in the future. Walmart donated $50.00 gift card and Grocery Outlet donated sprinkles which were to be used for the cupcake bar at Jack Day, since the event was cancelled Shea Hurd took cupcakes to Ms. Jan Clements’ family. Hope Roten has donated a door hanger to the PTO to be raffled off; this was to take place at Jack Day but now will be at the Fall Festival.
Bette Bradley Award: Was given to Marsha Jordan at this meeting. PTO thanked her again for her contributions.
NEW BUSINESS
Fall Festival: The teacher/ faculty meeting on September 17th, teachers were given the opportunity to sign up for games and several have. Pre-K teachers would like to offer temporary tattoos as their activity at the fall festival, members voted to approve this. Several school staff has expressed concerns over location of the Fall Festival and Dr. Enloe approved to have the festival at the football field. Auction items are needed for the silent auction. School organizations have asked to set up at the Fall Festival, members discussed this and will discuss further. Band Boosters will do concessions for the festival.
School Campus clean up to is on October 13th, volunteers are welcomed.
Forms for Harvest King and Queen have gone out to the parents with of deadline Sept. 21st.
*Sherri Henley donated items for the Fall Festival. Subway in Elba donated food certificates and coupons, Marty Tarey is the owner. *
Discussion on a Car Rider Line Pass raffle was discussed but tabled till after the Fall Festival and further discussion with school administrators.
Motion made to adjourn meeting by Marsha Jordan, 2nd-Sherri Henley. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm.
Next scheduled meeting is October 18, 2018.
