Friends of Snow Canyon State Park Snow Canyon State Park is truly one of the crown jewels of Washington County.

Friends of Snow Canyon is a non-profit and independent organization dedicated to preserving and protecting Snow Canyon State Park through education, advocacy, fundraising and volunteer efforts. Navajo sandstone domes, ancient lava flows, and majestic Kayenta cliffs offer a spectacular backdrop for every type of outdoor recreation. To all of us who treasure scenic beauty and the splendor of the nat

ural world, Snow Canyon is absolutely priceless. Friends of Snow Canyon State Park was created specifically to provide financial and volunteer support for Snow Canyon State Park. Our goal is to find funding sources through grants, fundraising events, and membership dues to support park staffing and operations and to facilitate volunteers for park programs, events, and maintenance projects.

Saturday, November 15: Snow Canyon Drive through the park will be closed between 8a.m. and Noon to accommodate the Snow Canyon Half Marathon and 10K. The paved Whiptail Trail will also be closed.

YOGA IN THE PARK RETURNS

Join John Yohman in a yoga practice of gratitude inspired by the beauty of Snow Canyon State Park. This gentle practice will focus on connecting body and breath as we reflect on the abundance that surrounds us.

John has been in the fitness and wellness industry for close to 3 decades. John is a RYT 200 registered yoga Teacher since 2016 and has enjoyed conducting yoga retreats in Oregon as well as teaching locally at his studio "Elevate" in Kayenta. John especially loves turning people on to yoga and what it has to offer both on the mat as well as in day to day life.

Please bring your yoga mat and water to drink. Participants should dress in layers as weather tends to vary throughout the hour of practice and please wear shoes to hike to our place of practice. Meet the group at the in the Upper Galoot parking lot.
