Cornell Women in Public Policy

Cornell Women in Public Policy Women in Public Policy (WIPP) at Cornell is a registered student organization of Cornell University.

WIPP is a graduate student organization that furthers the understanding of the current role of women in public policy. Cornell University’s Women in Public Policy (WIPP) is a graduate student organization founded in 1994 that furthers the understanding of the current role of women in public affairs and policy both in the United States and abroad. Our mission is to facilitate the professional integ

ration of women into public policy roles. We recognize that gender issues are inextricably linked to race, color, creed, s*x, age, ability, citizenship, marital status, religion, s*xual orientation, community, socioeconomic status, gender identity and expression, as well as national or ethnic origin, and that different systems of oppression intersect to perpetuate marginalization. WIPP aims to generate awareness and understanding about economic, social, political, spatial, and historical issues in relation to gender and its intersections, in public affairs and policy. WIPP fosters leadership and personal relationships through professional development, community outreach, and cultural exchange. To this end, WIPP organizes debates, discussion, conferences, and invites speakers. We organize educational and networking opportunities, as well as social activities and support systems for our members. WIPP also engages in activities and dialogue with the Cornell community as well as greater Ithaca community and beyond, both domestically and internationally.

We’re so excited to share the inaugural edition of the Women In Public Policy (WIPP) newsletter: WIPP Wrap-Up!

This first-ever issue showcases all the incredible things we’ve accomplished this past year. It was such a pleasure to create this newsletter, going through all the photos reminded me just how much WIPP was able to accomplish this year. To say I am proud of this work would be an understatement, and it is all thanks to you!

Here’s to continuing to uplift, empower, and amplify women in public policy! ♥️🤍
