May was a whirlwind of creativity and fun! 🎪✨ Big thanks to our amazing partners for creating spaces where our kids can shine. From the Circus in the Garden Festival with Circus Culture, to the Breaking Ground Steppers at Rootstock, and GCF showing us how to boogie at IthacaFest, it’s been a summer to remember and it’s only begun! 🌟🎶

We want to thank the Community Arts Partnership for their funding support in our Village Arts Programs. This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.

Village Birthday Shoutout!! We want to give a happy birthday to Lusca! Lusca joined our Village family this year and has assisted many families and individuals secure housing in Tompkins County. We are very grateful for her contribution and dedication to youth and families in Ithaca and wish her the best on her special day ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to Frank Muller Tommy Beers, and our steadfast supporters, the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca, for the resounding success of the Let There Be Light art sale. We raised an impressive $580, which will be instrumental in covering the closing costs required for the purchase. We’re so excited to be teaming up with local artists Frank Muller and Tommy Beers and our friends at the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca for Let There Be Light!

It’s an art sale with a real purpose. 100% of the money raised goes toward buying Village House 🏡 so it can stay a safe space for youth in crisis, no matter what.

This month, The Village is participating in the Solomon Organization’s Eleventh Annual Ithaca Give a Chance Charitable Giveaway Event, a community initiative created in 2015 to support local nonprofit organizations working to create positive change. Community members can vote once per day for their favorite organization from March 1 through March 31, and each vote helps increase the chances of winning a prize. After voting closes, participating organizations will be entered into the live Give a Chance event on April 9, where a prize wheel drawing will determine the final donation amounts, including a $5,000 Grand Prize, $2,000 Second Place Prize, and $1,000 Third Place Prize. We invite our community to support The Village by voting every day until March 31 at 11:59 PM and helping us secure the Grand Prize to support youth and families in Tompkins County. Simply click the link in the caption, scroll until you see The Village at Ithaca, select our photo, and click the submit button to make sure your vote is counted.
