May was a whirlwind of creativity and fun! ๐ŸŽชโœจ Big thanks to our amazing partners for creating spaces where our kids can shine. From the Circus in the Garden Festival with Circus Culture, to the Breaking Ground Steppers at Rootstock, and GCF showing us how to boogie at IthacaFest, itโ€™s been a summer to remember and itโ€™s only begun! ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽถ

We want to thank the Community Arts Partnership for their funding support in our Village Arts Programs. This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.

We are incredibly grateful to Frank Muller Tommy Beers, and our steadfast supporters, the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca, for the resounding success of the Let There Be Light art sale. We raised an impressive $580, which will be instrumental in covering the closing costs required for the purchase. If you did not have the opportunity to attend the art sale, there is still time to contribute to Village House. You can make a donation at any time by going to our website, clicking the donate button and in the dropdown menu selecting: Village House โค๏ธ We will also attach the donation link here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=5CCNQUW6Q6T42

This month, The Village is participating in the Solomon Organizationโ€™s Eleventh Annual Ithaca Give a Chance Charitable Giveaway Event, a community initiative created in 2015 to support local nonprofit organizations working to create positive change. Community members can vote once per day for their favorite organization from March 1 through March 31, and each vote helps increase the chances of winning a prize. After voting closes, participating organizations will be entered into the live Give a Chance event on April 9, where a prize wheel drawing will determine the final donation amounts, including a $5,000 Grand Prize, $2,000 Second Place Prize, and $1,000 Third Place Prize. We invite our community to support The Village by voting every day until March 31 at 11:59 PM and helping us secure the Grand Prize to support youth and families in Tompkins County. Simply click the link in the caption, scroll until you see The Village at Ithaca, select our photo, and click the submit button to make sure your vote is counted.
