Congratulations to our 2026 and 10th anniversary scholar Ramon Monroe. Ramon lives in Queens,NY, and is studying to become a dental hygenist at New York City College of Technology.
In his application, Ramon said: “Good trouble means taking action to make positive change, even when others doubt you. In student council, I suggested a Positive Shout-Out Board so students could recognize others’ voice and expression. Some members didn’t think it would matter but me and my friends pushed for it. In the hallway people became more close together because of our efforts. Seeing it bring people together taught me that good trouble is about standing up for an idea that may make things better and is something I hope to continue in the future.”
