Every item that comes through our doors starts with a person who decided it was worth keeping. "The Case for ReUse," produced in collaboration with PhotoSynthesis Productions and MACRE, looks at the people who make that happen.
In Tompkins County, Finger Lakes ReUse does more than keep good materials out of the landfill. We create jobs, teach skills, and open doors. Through ReSET job training and apprenticeships, neighbors build careers. Through the ReUse Material Access Program (ReMAP), neighbors in a tough moment get the materials they need. And all along the way, a donated chair, a repaired laptop, or a salvaged board becomes something more: a paycheck, a new skill, a place to belong.
