Did you know that Week Without Driving was initially a disability rights initiative?

If you can drive or afford a car, you may not understand what it’s like to rely on walking, rolling, transit, and asking for rides. But nearly one third of people in the US - people with disabilities, seniors, youth and people who can’t access cars due to financial barriers or license suspensions- this is their every day!

This national challenge organized by encourages you to try getting around this week in other ways other than driving. Learn more about the challenge and ways you can participate at weekwithoutdriving.org
