Alpha Lambda Mu-Gamma Chapter at Cornell University

ALM at Cornell stands firm in its obligation to remain a space of equality and inclusivity. We will continue to speak out against racism which we have recently been reminded, still exists in not only America but also, more specifically, on the Cornell University campus.

One of the pillars of ALM is the concept of akhuwa- "brotherhood." We hold the principles of Family, and Brotherhood very strongly, and it must always be kept in mind that we work to improve our character. We remind ourselves before anyone else that the concept of akhuwa is without attention to skin color, sexual orientation, country of origin, religious beliefs or gender.

Together we will stand strong and commit to be united against division!

Imam Khalid Latif came to Cornell University yesterday to deliver a lecture and though he was on a tight schedule, he generously spent over an hour and half speaking with us about the importance of our chapter's mission, different ways in which we could grow our presence on campus, and tips on becoming more functional young adults. We are extremely grateful for his time with us.
