Yesterday our diners at the Cayuga Health, A Member of Centralus Health community dining site at The Shops at Ithaca Mall in Lansing welcomed Tom Weber from Tompkins County Office for the Aging (COFA). Tom chatted with the diners about the myriad services that COFA offers older adults in Tompkins County. THANK YOU TOM!! 🙏

Our Home-Delivered Meal clients love receiving Notes for Neighbors!! Thank you The Learning Web and Ithaca City School District DeWitt Middle Schoolers for making some!!! 🙏💖

Thank you DeWitt Middle School for having the Youth Exploration Program (YEP) Team during lunch today! It was great to meet youth and learn what kinds of things they wanted to explore. We heard all sorts of careers interests from "lawyer" to "digital artist" to "supply chain management"! In addition, youth participated in a mobile volunteer opportunity by making notes for Notes for Neighbors (Foodnet Meals on Wheels).

Today we kick off Cold Meal Fridays!! Everyone loves it when they get a picnic-type cold lunch during the summer. Today we have a choice of Balsamic Chicken Salad or Tuna Nicoise, served with Macaroni Salad, Marinated Cucumbers, Potato Salad, and a Banana. YUM!!!!!! 😋

Did you know that Foodnet used 40,860 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables in our meals in 2025?!?!?
Today, chef Judy is peeling, de-seeding, and hand-chopping 75 pounds of fresh cucumbers from Eddydale Farms Produce for a delicious marinated cucumber salad tomorrow.
Fresh fruits and veggies are the best!! YUMMY!!!!!😋

Their short rib mac won 2nd place in the Meat Mac category, and their vegan squash mac won 3rd place in the Alt Mac category!! 🥣 Last month, the SMG team attended the Mac 'n Cheese Bowl - Foodnet Meals on Wheels at the Ithaca Farmers Market!

Foodnet Meals on Wheels of Ithaca hosts this annual fundraiser to further their mission of providing food and nutritional services to older adults and others who are unable to cook or shop for themselves in Tompkins County.

❤️ We were happy to support Foodnet by attending this event and tasting some of the local mac ‘n cheese!
