We all have something we’ve always wanted to learn.
Sometimes it’s fixing a leaky faucet.
Sometimes it’s understanding money.
Sometimes it’s learning AI, starting a business, or simply feeling more confident tackling everyday life.
We’re dreaming up new workshops at the Women’s Opportunity Center, but before we decide what to offer...
We want to hear from you.
✨ If you could learn one thing that would genuinely make your life easier, better, or more independent...what would it be?
Share your ideas in the comments. Big or small—we’re listening.

Maybe the problem isn’t that you don’t know how to set boundaries.

Maybe you were taught not to have them.

Be nice.
Don’t be difficult.
Keep the peace.
Help out.
Be grateful.
Don’t hurt anyone’s feelings.
Don’t make a scene.
Just let it go.

So you learned to say yes when you wanted to say no.

To explain yourself until your “no” sounded negotiable.

To take on one more thing because disappointing someone felt worse than exhausting yourself.

To stay quiet when something didn’t feel right.

To wonder whether you were being selfish when you were really just asking for space.

And somewhere along the way, other people’s comfort became your responsibility.

But boundaries aren’t about becoming cold, selfish, or uncaring.

They’re about understanding where you end and someone else begins.

What belongs to you.
What doesn’t.
What you’re willing to give.
What you’re no longer willing to give away.

And sometimes the hardest part of setting a boundary isn’t knowing what to say.

It’s believing you’re allowed to say it.

We’ve been thinking a lot about lines lately at the Women’s Opportunity Center.

The ones we inherit.
The ones that get crossed.
And the ones we eventually learn to draw for ourselves.

More soon. Stay tuned.

🤖 AI makes some people excited...

😬 ...and it makes some people nervous.

That's okay.

You don't have to love AI.

You don't have to trust it.

You don't even have to know anything about it.

But as AI becomes part of our workplaces, schools, businesses, healthcare, and everyday life, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to understand it.

That's why Women's Opportunity Center is proud to offer Future Ready: AI for Work, Business & Life—a FREE 4-week learning cohort powered by Cornell's Generative & Agentic AI Curriculum and delivered through eCornell.

This isn't about convincing you that AI is the answer to everything.

It's about giving you the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about when, where, and how to use it.

Whether you decide AI becomes part of your daily routine—or simply want to understand what everyone is talking about—you'll leave with practical skills and a better understanding of one of the biggest technological shifts of our time.
