Congrats to Katie for releasing her third CD! It’s called “Music Is My Life.”
Here is what Katie would like to share about her CD: I called this CD “Music Is My Life” because music changed my life. I’m proud to have music in my life. “Sometimes I Can’t Hear” is one of my favorite songs from the CD. I used to not be able to hear much, but I can hear now because I have hearing aids. I wrote “Worst Year of My Life” when I was trapped in during the pandemic. I didn’t get to see my friends or my boyfriend. My CD makes me feel great.” You can hear the whole CD on your favorite streaming platform- Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, and more!

We lost an incredible person and student this week. Jen, who has been a member of our Wednesday group Friends of the Music for many years, has very sadly passed away.

We are so grateful for the time that we got to spend with Jen. She showed up each week with a song on her mind for us all to play together. She loved playing the keyboard and she was always ready to play a solo whenever we called her name. She came in with creative thoughts to add to the songwriting that we did together and she had a knack for pairing ideas and rhymes and coming up with the perfect line. She always showed up as a friend, and shared her immense love for music whenever we were together. One of her favorite songs that she wrote with us says:

Music makes me happy when I'm feeling sad
When I'm playing music, things don't seem so bad
Music makes friends gather round
We'll make beautiful sounds.

We will miss you, friend, and your beautiful sounds.
