This week's Mindful Birding event will feature a taste of Forest Therapy. Birds are one of the species of other-than-human beings from whom we can find delight, learn from, and relate to. Our primary location will be on chairs placed out near the pond where we will have a short introduction, then be guided through awakening our senses and a series of “invitations”. After each invitation, there will be an opportunity to share what you are noticing. We will spend 10-15 minutes at the pond location, followed by a 10 minute simple, slow “wander” along the trail. After a sharing time again at the chairs near the pond, we will be guided on 2-3 additional invitations at or near there, before a final completing invite and share.
Join us at the Visitor Center Wednesday, June 10 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. This event is FREE and requires no registration. 🌲🌳
