DesignConnect is a multidisciplinary student run community design organization at Cornell University. We are rooted in collaborative sustainability and democratic principles for small towns in Upstate, New York. The goal of DesignConnect is to give real-life experience to students while providing design and planning services for towns and cities that may not necessarily have the resources to hire

professionals. DesignConnect was founded by students and continues to be led by students in a collaborative and democratic manner.

Design Connect in the News! In Spring of 2023, a Design Connect team mapped and blazed a 5k trail in the Fillmore Nature Preserve. They also designed an educational kiosk and trail signage. Then, in December of 2024, the Fillmore Nature Preserve had its grand opening!
