Check out the men & women who crushed the Blue Whale Fitness Challenge & Fundraiser this past weekend!!

Our first Blue Whale fitness challenge and fundraiser was a huge success! The winning team lifted 150 tons in 40 minutes. That was 40 minutes straight of lifting, squatting, or bench pressing a 100 lb bar, splitting duties across teams of 5. What a feat!!

This ambitious challenge was the brainchild of our (very) athletic Executive Director, Dave Sanders, who helped bring the winning team across the finish line.

(The winning team earned bragging rights. All donations went to pay for gym memberships for OAR clients.)

Thanks to Crunch Ithaca for being such a welcoming host, and enduring all our hooting and hollering in your weights section. We can't wait to do it all again.

OAR is proud to announce that with the support of NYS Assembly Member Anna Kelles for District 125, we have been awarded $25,000 by New York State to provide EDMR trauma therapy for our clients.

Trauma can keep people underwater; EMDR helps them breathe again.

Our first ever Blue Whale Challenge is gearing up for July 25th!

Teams of 5 will lift 150 tons (3,000 reps of 100 lbs) either by Squat, Deadlift, Bench press (on back), or Military press (standing).

Your choice of how to lift.
Fastest team to 3,000 reps wins.

$ 100 suggested donation per team.
All funds will support gym memberships for folks in recovery.
