Last, but certainly not least, is Sue Meier, retired teacher from Ithaca Public Schools. Sue has made such a difference for thousands of children in our community, and we are thankful for her service to the Foundation Board. Welcome Sue!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Foundation is displaying pinwheels this month to spread awareness and show support towards prevention. We are thankful for all the important work that Child Advocacy-Gratiot County does for our community.

We are pleased to announce grant awards totaling $74,955 for the Foundation's Spring 2026 cycle! These grants will provide funding for a variety of programs and services for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and municipalities serving Gratiot County.

Grants were awarded to the following organizations serving the people of Gratiot County: Gratiot Emergency Housing, Mid Michigan District Health Department, Howe Memorial Library Breckenridge, Breckenridge Community Schools, Child Advocacy-Gratiot County, Ithaca Public Schools, Eightcap, Inc., Academy of Performing Arts, Alma, Michigan, Lead - Nonprofit, Fulton Township, The Salvation Army Alma Corps, and Gratiot County Genealogy Library- Wright House Restoration.
