Stop in and learn about PROS. Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) is a comprehensive recovery-oriented program for adults offered by Tompkins County Whole Health Department. Each class cycle lasts 12 weeks. The main goal of the program is to help people work on all aspects of their life — social, work, education, housing, finding purpose — when mental health or substance use creates barriers.

🚨 ASTERI RESIDENTS: DO NOT accept a "Cash for Keys" offer from Vecino without talking to a lawyer!

Vecino is requesting residents take a 2k "cash for keys" offer which is full of loopholes!

§ 258-13 of city code says “The landlord is responsible to every displaced tenant for an amount of liquidated damages which amount to double the monthly rent, prorated for every day of displacement, including the day the tenant vacates, until the expiration date of the tenant's lease term or until all deficiencies have been corrected-.”

They are pushing this predatory deal because they owe residents far more and are trying to nullify their responsibilities. Our neighbors deserve what they are owed!

Extended Drop-In Hours Today at the Mental Health Association

The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County has posted a public statement regarding the evacuation of the Asteri building on our website (link in comments). In addition, in response to the situation and the impact it may be having on residents and community members, we are extending our drop-in hours today.
Today our drop-in space will be open from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
During this time, our peer specialists will be available to offer:

* Emotional and mental health support
* Help navigating local resources
* Connection to services in the community
* Snacks and drinks

Our drop-in space is free, informal, and stigma-free, and no appointment or insurance is required.
