Come to Gallery Night tonight, June 5th from 5-8pm

There will be snacks and good vibes!

110 N. Tioga Street, CAP ArtSpace in the Tompkins Center for History and Culture’s Ithaca College Gallery on the Commons.

ToCo Design Rally is a group of graphic designers who all make art when they’re off the clock! They cover a range of ages, disciplines, experiences and agendas; all their own side-quests.

Their collection pulls back the curtain on creative process, revealing the passion projects that keep their artistic batteries charged.

Thank you to our ArtSpace sponsor, Coughlin & Gerhart LLP, for their generous sponsorship of the CAP ArtSpace!

Workshop Alert: Thanks for the no.

Led by Debra Charris, aka performer Dee Lightfull.

“Thanks for the No” is a workshop about the least glamorous but most universal part of being an artist or performer: hearing “no” and living to tell the tale.
Auditions. Applications. Casting calls. Portfolio submissions.

Emails that start with “Unfortunately…” Rejection is basically a side hustle in arts and entertainment. Instead of pretending it doesn’t hurt, we’re going to laugh about it, unpack it, and learn how to care for ourselves without losing our edge.

We’re talking about the messy, very human side of putting your art in public. This session blends humor, honest conversation, and practical resilience tools to help artists and performers process disappointment, quiet the comparison spiral, and protect their creative spark.

You’ll swap stories, pick up strategies that actually work in a high-exposure industry, and leave with a healthier relationship to the word “no.” Because the goal isn’t to stop feeling rejection. It’s to stop letting it run the show.
