“I take full responsibility for this beautiful mess.”
— Caitlin Cusack, VLT forester

What looks messy to us can be great habitat for wildlife.

Join Caitlin and Across the Fence at Pratt Refuge in to see how thoughtful forest management is helping birds and other species thrive. Working with UVM Extension Forestry, Audubon Vermont, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and other partners, VLT has created habitat, opened a new accessible trail, and added interpretive signs to help visitors learn about the forest and its feathered residents.
