It was an action packed final day of NEA RA as we finished up work on NBIs (which direct NEA action in the upcoming year), had "day of leaning" sessions passed the budget, continuing resolutions (our union's value statements) and said goodbye to Becky Pringle, NEA president and Larry Delaney, WEA president, both whom had terms come to end with the final gavel. Thank you Denver!

NBI 18 Passed!!

President Josh Moore worked with Bellevue Education Association Vice President Regen Lorden to bring NBI 18 to the floor for a vote at NEA RA.

NBI 18 directs NEA to update and modernize NEA360, the digital system they use to track members. Specifically it calls for a new process to update and expand the "position" and "subject" categories available for members.

Doing so will support faster and more accurate organizing while also helping ensure all of our members see themselves and their work in our union.

NBI was approved by over 80% with no one speaking against it!!

At day 2 of NEA Rep Assembly IEA delegates exercised their franchise and voted for officers, including a new president, NEA board members and also voted on amendments and the NEA constitution and by-laws.
