Tonight, Crew 498 members helped make Pack 679's Bike Rodeo a big success with bike tuning and safety checks, ensuring every young rider was ready to shred!

Last night Crew 498 kept the meeting on the nonchalant side of things as many of our members were busy with school sports and various other extracurriculars. We had a tremendous time helping Ben our Crew President relive his childhood with hotwheels! The activities began with construction the fastest hotwheels racetrack known to the greater Issaquah Area and wrapped up with organizing all the cars intown in exact ROY G BIV ordered!

Next week the crew will be helping a local cubpack with their bike rodeo!

This Past weekend Crew 498 had a big weekend in the OA at Spring Fellowship.

First we had 4 more crew 498 members complete their Vigil! Aurora Hamel, Nick Krum, Issac Jennings and Craig Murray! Huge Congratulations to the 4 of you we are very proud to have you as membes in our Crew!

Second, Callie Holmes complted the brotherhood ceremony and recieved her Brotherhood! Large shoutout for attending the event in the middle of your hectic track season to recieve this recognition!

Third but far from last We had 4 members get elected as part of the 2026-2027 T’kope Kwiskwis Lodge Officer team! Huge Shoutout to Nick Krum the newly elected Lodge Cheif, Auora Hamel the newly elected Inductions Vice Chief, Ben Goett the Newly Elected Vice Chief of Service and and Stebbins elected for a second year in a row as the Lodge Treasurer! We are excited to see the things you guys will accomplish in the Lodge this next year!

In total we had 13 members present!!! We are happy to see the impact all you guys are making in scouting and are stoked to be able to support you in your scouting journeys!

Congratulations, Mary Crawford, who has kept the fire of Scouting alive and received the Vigil Honor this weekend! The Vigil Honor is one of the Order of the Arrow's highest honors, designed to recognize Arrowmen for distinguished and unselfish service to their lodge, council or Scouting as a whole. Her Vigil name is Bubbly Friend to All; for those who know Mary, this name is more than fitting for the radiant energy she brings to Scouting. Keep your eye out for more photos from T’kope Kwiskwis recognizing her alongside her fellow scouts who also received the same honor this weekend!

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tom Mechler, our original charter organization representative, who passed away early this morning. Tom was instrumental in founding our unit, notably securing meeting spaces at the American Legion Hall and The Issaquah Sportsmen’s Club. He also played a significant role in the lives of many of our earliest members, facilitating opportunities such as attending Evergreen Boys State. We will deeply miss our dear friend and fellow Scouter. More information about memorial services will be shared soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mechler family.

Tonight's meeting was a little uncanny! We discovered last second that our meeting location had been taken by another group due to an accidental double booking. So we had to frantically find a new meeting spot for the evening. We're very thankful to Superior Seconds, the local sporting goods consignment store, for lending us a space to meet. Despite all the chaos of finding a new location, We quickly adpated and started the meeting by celebrating Sophie Zekes' 17th birthday with a tiny cheesecake. Then, we tested our engineering skills with a competition to build the most structurally sound model using cardboard and popsicle sticks.

Last Night Crew 498 held an election for a new crew president, as Bradley is stepping down from the position before his 21st birthday. Congratulations to our newest president, Ben Goett, and congratulations to Nick Zekes for resuming his role as crew vice president. We look forward to seeing where you take the crew in the following year!
