What a meaningful evening recognizing individuals whose service makes our community stronger.

🏆 Human & Spiritual Values Award

The Kiwanis Club of Issaquah proudly honored Mudra Machewad for extraordinary service, compassion, and youth leadership. From founding the first local Kiwanis-sponsored Builders Club at Beaver Lake Middle School, to leading Key Club service initiatives, to launching the LakeSafe Initiative - Every Lake, Every Life in response to the Lake Sammamish tragedies, Mudra’s commitment to serving others reflects the very heart of this award.

Congratulations to Jim and Chris Berry of the Issaquah/Sammamish Food Project (Green Bag Project) for their extraordinary commitment to helping local families and strengthening our community through years of dedicated service.

💙 Giving back to the community, one meaningful partnership at a time!

Bryan Callen, Treasurer for the Kiwanis Club of Greater Issaquah, proudly presented a $3,500 check to KayLee Jaech for The Garage, a Teen Cafe - helping provide healthy snacks for the many teens who drop in after school and on weekends.

A simple snack can mean so much: nourishment, comfort, connection, and a welcoming space for young people to belong.

Through Kiwanis fundraising efforts, we’re proud to support local nonprofits that provide essential services including food, shelter, youth programs, and community activities that strengthen lives across our region.

Together, we’re investing in our youth and building a stronger community. 💛

We were proud to participate in Connect for Good - the first nonprofit expo hosted by the Sammamish Chamber.

It was amazing to see so many nonprofits come together in one place - connecting, sharing ideas, and supporting each other’s work.

We especially loved engaging with community members, having meaningful conversations, and seeing so many people interested in getting involved.

A big thank you to Julie, Michelle, and Mudra for their efforts in bringing this together and supporting such a meaningful community event 🤝
