Hiking to Save Lives

Hiking to Save Lives Hiking to save lives is a fundraising event to help nonprofit organizations that are trying to make a difference.

My goal is to go on hikes and post them on here and in return all I ask is for you to make a donation to the charity that I am hiking for.

Law enforcement put their lives on the line every day without hesitation. They respond to calls not knowing what might happen. They don't say sorry can someone else get that. They stand the line to protect our communities. They put everything on that line without asking for thanks. This job doesn't get thanked enough and is only given notice when things go bad. The hardest thing to listen to is 'shots fired' 'officer down'. Everyone who works in law enforcement has a family that loves and cares about them. And every day they have to worry if their loved one is going to make it home safely. So this hike is in memory of all the fallen officers. And thank you to all that our still trying to keep our communities safe. Please donate to behind the badge foundation. This foundation is to help law enforcement families in times of need.

I wasn't able to get to the hike I wanted due to road closures but went on a hike on Cougar Mountain and made it to coal creek falls. Had fun taking pictures of it in the dark 😁. Again just like this and I'll donate to Stand Up To Cancer in memory of my Uncle Shane. Also feel free in the comments to put people you know who are fighting or survived cancer.

Make me broke!! Here is the twist for this hike for every like I receive on this post I'll be donating a dollar to Stand Up To Cancer. Please take the time to like this. I'll be hiking this weekend and post pictures like normal. If you still want to donate I'll add the donation button, or go to their website standuptocancer.org. This hike is in memory of my Uncle Shane who unexpectedly passed away last week. He was a cancer survivor and lived every day to the fullest. Thank you everyone!

I thought about canceling my upcoming event due to an unexpected death in the family. But instead I will be doing my charity hike this weekend in memory of my Uncle. And I think I'll still continue with the twist I had planned for this fundraising event. This one is for you Uncle Shane!

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away". It was a good hike today, had rain, snow and sun all at the same time 😁. Mt. Si was still so beautiful with all of that! Please any donation to The Trevor Project is greatly appreciated.

I know I struggled with being myself when growing up but I felt like I didn't have it that bad as other people. My struggles were more with life than my sexual orientation. Yes I struggled with it for years but it wasn't really my major problem, at least that is what I thought. Not too long ago I had a conversation that made me realize that maybe it weighed on me more than I realized. I struggled internally with this as long as I can remember. Fighting with myself in my head that it was wrong, that I was supposed to grow up and marry a man. I worried about my very religious family disowning me. I struggled with this throughout high school until I met someone who made me realize that this wasn't going away. I wanted to be with her but I still couldn't bring myself to come out of the closet. But she definitely opened the door for me. After high school it took me awhile but I finally started telling close friends and family. And I'm so happy that I finally took that step. If The Trevor Project was around when I was struggling maybe things would have been easier for me. So I'm taking this hike to help support what they do and stand for. So that maybe other kids don't have to struggle like I did or even worse. So please take the time to make a donation. And thank you for reading this long post! 😁
