Here she shares a profound story of how she was like Disney's Ariel as she wanted to be apart of a "whole new world" and how she lost her voice in school for some time. I cried as I listened to her talk because Ariel is my favorite and though I never struggled as she did, I was able to connect. What an impact she is making across the world as a real life princess!

Our charlas will be resuming shortly! Winter is nearly over and I just got back from Cuba. There, I met a wonderful Cuban family who hosted me for 14 days! My language skills were boosted, my heart felt a new rhythm of life, and I was flexible with my environment. It was such a nice reminder about ! Now, the Cuban people will forever be in my heart. See, that is ! Flying home, I sat next to a high school exchange student from China studying in CT! Ask me how you can in your high school. Want great mexican food at a great price? Here is my recent find in Farmingville, NY! I spied 2 high chairs there! I've returned several times and today we had quesadillas flor de calabaza (pumpkin flower) and fresh squeezed orange juice! I'm in cielo! . Señora Lulu, has officially returned to the tutoring world to offer SPANISH CLASSES to all ages in the LONG ISLAND townships of Brookhaven, Islip, Riverhead, and in Southampton! (I was on a maternity break but am back!) Described as enthusiastic and creative, I have a grand collection of songs, dances, poems, books and other useful materials to have fun learning! 10+ years of tutoring experience at all levels, NYS cert Spanish teacher, I use an immersion style setting for children ages 5 and up, give academic and social confidence to the hesitant high school student and to the overwhelmed test jumpy college student; and provide global freedom to eager professionals or expats! Before becoming a mommy, I studied abroad in over 7 Hispanic countries, was a Rotary International scholar in Ecuador, taught in a private school: kindergarten through sixth grade, & tutored. Now, I am a Spanish immersion play date leader, raise my 2 children to be bilingual, and host and coordinate international exchange students stays . The student will have a high proficiency in English, a huge desire to be here, and understand that they are responsible for acclimating to your family environment. He/she will attend your local high school, take the bus, share in all household activities, and be your forever child. The connection made is incredible; just ask me! The student will need their own room or they can share a room with the same gender who is within the same age range. It's so much fun and a great way for my family to teach culture, language, and love for others. For example, our "son", Juan from Mexico, speaks Spanish to our children and we give him endless opportunities to speak English every day with us! He has been amazing helper in the house and just a joy to have around . He plays the guitar and enjoys teaching us about Mexican cuisine and music! It is an amazing intercultural-lingual support system for us all! .
