Dear Wild Dunes Friends and Neighbors,
As many know, our WDCA membership elected 3 new board members at Saturday’s meeting:
Terri Haack to represent WDCA Type C (Commercial) Resort owner Dart/Lowe, and
Two WDCA Type A (Residential) members represented by
Mr. Todd Francis, who was on the ballot, and
Dr. Les Kutcher, who was a write-in candidate on pre-meeting proxies.
We appreciate that WDCA included Dr. Les Kutcher as a candidate on the ballots distributed at Saturday’s meeting.
We appreciate and thank ALL who became engaged in the process and who took the time to read our emails, whether or not you voted for our recommendations. We appreciate your willingness to hear us out and review the data and information.
We believe the two new Type A board members will help strike an appropriate balance between the constituencies of Type A residential members and Type C commercial member Dart/Lowe. Please know we will continue to watch WDCA board activities and decisions, as well as our conditions inside the gates. We want to strike an appropriate balance between keeping our newly engaged residential community informed with information, without being too frequent or too voluminous.
Next week we’ll follow up with an analysis of the vote tabulation to consider for future WDCA board elections. Our new board will have several critical issues to consider, and we plan to stay close.
This was the first-ever write-in candidate in WDCA history, and to beat all odds and have Dr. Les Kutcher voted in is a testament to him and those of you who were informed, engaged, and who VOTED!
