Hello Neighbors,

Hope this note finds you well. It has been an eventful summer this year regarding the lake. I wanted to set up a time for everyone to meet to discuss the plan going forward with restocking the lake and potentially changing the lake maintenance company.

I am only the collector of the funds, so I don’t want to be making any decisions for the collective group so please attend if you are able. I will also send out another note regarding what was discussed and decisions.

Meeting Date: Tuesday Sept 12
Meeting Time: 6pm- 6:30pm
Meeting Location: 101 Cardinal Ct. (if you are able to attend in person please walk around to the back)

Apologies for the late update. This is from 9/1.

Watershed evaluated. Algae retreated on the South end of the lake. Will reevaluate/retreat next week.

Maintenance Update

Watershed evaluated. Observed a lot of algae growth just in the span of a week. Treated only a section of the lake. Will reevaluate/retreat next visit.

Hello Floks,

Just adding a note here for the annual Memorial Lantern Floating Event. It will be Saturday Aug 12th with a launch time of 8:30ish.

Everyone should have also received a note on their mailbox.

Hello! Hope you all had a great weekend.

After the clean up, about 1,000 fish were removed. The lake will smell "fishy" for awhile due to all of the fish oil from the dead fish.

It was not a complete kill as you will see smaller fish still swimming around. The bottom feeders (grass carp, catfish) and the bass were most affected.

I'm looking into restocking these kinds of fish in the fall.

Some folks have also asked about an aerator so I'm looking into the cost of that as well.

I will keep everyone posted. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Hello folks,

If you aren't already aware, the lake is not in the best shape at this time.

The oxygen levels have been depleted to the point where many of the fish have died.

I have contacted the Lake management company. They are coming this evening to evaluate the conditions. They will also be cleaning up the lake tomorrow morning.

I am putting a note in the mailboxes shortly. If you have any questions please let me know.

Hi folks. The lake was treated again today for algae.

Some concerns were raised regarding the frequency of treatments. If anyone has concerns please let me know. I want to ensure everyone is comfortable with how the lake maintenence is done so that all can enjoy it.
