The "Sandy Castle" Foundation was formed in the wake of Super Storm Sandy in Ocean County, NJ. Local resident and business owner Alan Fumo has joined forces with long time college friend, World Renowned Sculptor, Ed Jarrett. Ed currently holds the Guinness World Record for the creation of the tallest hand built sand castle. Twice in his home state of Maine and once in 2011 in Connecticut, each tim
e the center of a multi-charity fund raiser. This spring 2013, at our host site on Jenkinsons Beach in Point Pleasant Beach NJ, watch as we set out to build "THE SANDY CASTLE", reaching nearly 50 feet tall breaking Eds current world record with 100% of all proceeds and donations from admission directly going to provide "need based charitable assistance" to local residents and businesses struggling to recover from Super Storm Sandy. An estimated 3000 volunteers are needed to assist as the "Bucket Brigade"
to fill and pack the 50 feet tall forms over a period of weeks. The sand is then hand carved by sculptor Ed Jarrett from the top down, revealing his vision and dedication to the Jersey Shore and its surrounding area affected by the fury of
