Propane tanks don’t belong at the curb. Even “empty” tanks can still contain gas and become dangerous when crushed in trash or recycling trucks.

When compacted, propane tanks can explode, causing fires, injuries, and serious hazards for sanitation workers, first responders, and nearby neighborhoods.

Keep everyone safe by bringing propane tanks to an approved dealer location or a household hazardous waste event for proper handling and recycling.

A small choice can prevent a major emergency.

Also, take the morning to join the Blitz Cleanup, grab your supplies at the event, and feel free to choose a spot in town.
