The Florida Keys History & Discovery Center is located at the Islander Resort on the Atlantic Ocean in Islamorada, FL. The museum’s geographic emphasis is on the Upper Keys yet encompasses the entire chain of islands preserving its history and telling these stories in a meaningful, entertaining, and educational manner. Amenities include three aquariums that focus on the offshore environment and a movie theater playing historical documentaries on Flagler’s Railroad, hurricanes, local parks, and other rotating features. The Discovery Center attracts both locals and tourists, school and travel groups, adults, families, and scholars interested in a deep dive into the indigenous culture of the area.
