Office of the External Vice President for Local Affairs (EVPLA) The EVPLA office is here to function as a liaison between UCSB students, UCSB administration, non-student community members, and various local agencies.

The Office of the External Vice President for Local Affairs has represented the interests of undergraduate UCSB students to Santa Barbara County and the local community for well over a decade. The AS EVPLA advocates on behalf of nearly 19,000 UCSB undergraduate students – pushing for a greater inclusion of students and the Isla Vista community in local political decision-making and encouraging students to take an active role in local affairs.

Don’t miss your chance to attend the LAST Family Planning and STI Screen-A-Thon of the academic year!! This Friday, June 7th, with drop ins all day from 11am-4:30pm. Visits can be completely FREE if you register for FamPact at the event.

Thank you to all who have attended and supported our initiative this inaugural year ❤️ We have proudly served over 150 patients throughout this first instillation and look forward to continuing our services in the Isla Vista community alongside expanding to SBCC next academic year.

Our office is proud to join in sponsoring IVRPD’s Deltopia Cleanup this year! Join us to clean up our community following the Deltopia Festivities from 11 AM to 2 PM. You can meet to volunteer either at Window to the Sea Park or the IVRPD Office at 961 Embarcadero Del Mar. Volunteers will receive pizza and vouchers while supplies last. Have you been wondering how Deltopia will go now that there are new ordinances? Are you curious if the police have made any other changes? Now is your chance to ask them!!!

On March 6th, 5-6:30 at Embarcardero Hall IVFP’s Lieutenant Garrett Teslaa, UCSBPD Police Chief Yao and more will be on a panel answering questions regarding this UPCOMING DELTOPIA! Have your voice heard and your concerns known at this event!

This event is now more important than ever, as the Sheriff’s Office has just confirmed the Restorative Justice program will be suspended the weekend of Deltopia, meaning that ALL CITATIONS are subject to fines/record implications. Come out to share your thoughts! Let us stand in solidarity together at this event.
