In an enduring tribute to Americaās heroes, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has once again proclaimed November as Elks Veterans Remembrance Month. Elks National President Bryan Klatt encourages every Lodge and community to honor those who have worn our nationās uniformāliving out this yearās theme: āBe the Differenceā.

A Century of Commitment
For more than 157 years, the Elks have upheld a simple yet powerful promise: āSo long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.ā Through the Elks National Veterans Service Commission, 1,837 Lodges across the country provide vital support to veterans in needādelivering meals and clothing, funding housing for homeless veterans, hosting holiday celebrations, and offering fellowship to those who served. In the past year alone, Elks volunteers dedicated over 800,000 hours and contributed more than $56 million in aid and services to veterans. From delivering food and hygiene kits to VA hospitals, to furnishing āWelcome Homeā apartments for formerly homeless veterans, Elks remain a steadfast ally to Americaās defenders.
