FUMC of Irwin Caring Closet The FUMC of Irwin Caring Closet is a volunteer-run organization that provides free clothing and shoes to those in need.

The Caring Closet will be open on the second Saturday of every month, during our Food Bank distribution.

These are just a few pictures from our most recent Caring Closet which took place on February 15th.
What an incredible event! More than 100 people attended and were able to shop for free! We are so thankful to all the wonderful people who so generously donated.

Happy Monday!!!
Our second Caring Closet is quickly approaching. But you still have time to sock it to us by donating a new pair of socks for those who are in need. Our deadline for this collection is this Friday. You can drop off your donations Wednesday evening between 5pm and 7pm just contact Pastor Ron at 724-691-7113. Or to drop off Friday morning between 9 am and 11 am contact Christie at 412 330 0629.
To volunteer for set up Friday February 14th contact Sue at 412-443-5009.

Our first Caring Closet was a huge success! We were able to bless over 40 families with free clothing, shoes, and accessories! And we know that we could not have done that without your generous donations! So from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for helping us help others!

Now we look forward to our next Caring Closet, which will take place on Saturday, February 15th, from 9 am until 11 am.

This month we would like to focus on collecting socks. Socks are something that most of us take for granted. And we rarely think of them, save for when we wash or wear them. For those in need, socks are a luxury item. Many people go without socks due to not being able to afford them. Therefore, this month, we are going to focus on collecting new socks for men, women, and children. All sizes and colors are needed. So, when you are out shopping, we ask that you keep our ministry in mind and purchase a pair of new socks for someone in need. We hope to be able to give every person that visits us a brand new pair of socks in February.

While we intend to focus on socks, to keep everyone's feet warm during the cold winter months, we are also in need of children's clothing, especially boys' clothing. We need all sizes, from 0-3 months to size 16/18. But we especially need clothing for children between the ages of four and ten years old.

Again, we thank you for your generosity and look forward to blessing those in need!
