About “The Mission”

The Irvington Area Ministerial Association created "The Mission" as a way to help individuals in need in the Irvington Area. Needs are often bigger than any one church can meet, so The Mission helps fill the gaps. The Mission is a thrift store, open to the public, and staffed entirely by volunteers. We accept donation

s of gently used clothing, housewares, books, movies, and much more, and resell them for very reasonable prices. The money from the sale of these items, combined with generous donations from churches and individuals, goes to help those in need in our community. Unfortunately, there are some items we cannot accept (older CRT TVs, mattresses, couches, and most upholstered furniture).

Brown Bag Days at The Mission this Wednesday from 4:00 til 7:00, Thursday from 9:00 til 2:00, Friday from 9:00 til 2:00, and Saturday from 9:00 til 1:00 ( fast time)! Fill a bag with clothes, shoes, and purses (some exclusions apply) for just $8.00.
On Saturday, May 3rd, we're having a yard sale outside in the parking lot from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (fast time). Lots of good stuff at great prices.
Anyone can shop with us and everyone is welcome!

Brown Bag Days at The Mission this week, Wednesday, April 2nd thru Saturday, April 5th. Anyone can shop with us and everyone is welcome!
We're open from 4:00 til 7:00 Wednesday, 9:00 til 2:00 Thursday and Friday, and 9:00 til noon Saturday. All times are eastern/fast time.
With the expected timing of the severe weather moving into our area this evening (Wednesday, April 2nd) being around 8:00 fast time, yes, we are planning to be open today. If that changes we will update our page accordingly.
