🚧 HEADS UP, IRVING!

tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 9, southbound MacArthur Blvd will be reduced to one lane from about Metker St to Rochelle Rd for paving work.

📅 Expected completion: Oct. 30, weather permitting

🚗 Plan for delays, be patient and use alternate routes when you can.

The businesses along this stretch are still open, so give yourself a few extra minutes and keep supporting them!

Happy National Frappé Day! ☕❄️

Fun fact: the frappé was invented by accident! 🇬🇷 Back in 1957, at the Thessaloniki International Fair in Greece, a Nescafé rep wanted his coffee fix during a break but couldn't find any hot water. So he tossed instant coffee, cold water and ice into a shaker... and out came a foamy, refreshing iced coffee! It became so popular that it's now considered Greece's national coffee drink.

Here's the twist: the original Greek frappé is shaken, not blended! The blended, creamy versions we know today came along decades later. 🤯
