This past Friday, we celebrated a massive milestone for the Anteater Grant Initiative (AGI), a signature fundraising priority championed by our Parent Executive Board and generously supported by our broader parent community and student success advocates.

Thanks to this incredible community, we distributed our highest funding total ever: $65,000 to six programs directly impacting UC Irvine students. Even better? Every single one of our awarded programs grant funding was fulfilled in full, and we were even able to exceed our goal for our top awardee: The Veteran Services Center.

The Veteran Services Center received $17,000 for their comprehensive Peer Mentorship Program, which supports UC Irvine’s nearly 1,000 military-connected students. Launching in the 2026–2027 academic year, this initiative pairs incoming students with trained, upper-division student veteran mentors to provide culturally competent guidance through their critical first year.
