SPARC was created to provide and/or facilitate the provision of social services and other opportunities to residents of Mobile Home communities.

Every dollar received by SPARC goes toward its programs.

The scope of our offerings is limited only by our resources and imagination.

Some examples of SPARC initiatives to date include:

· College scholarships to eligible students in our Communities.

· Health Fairs & better living information.

· Back-to-school parties with backpack and school supply giveaways.

· After-school, Summer and Spring Break programs for children.

· Food Banks/pantries.

· Various classes provided in our Communities by local colleges.

· Disaster programs, fire safety, healthy eating and scam awareness classes.

· Holiday drives providing food, toys, etc. to needy residents.

Many of our programs are those suggested by the residents. We encourage their advice as to the specific needs of a given community as well as their participation and support.

While we provide many services in-house, our goal is to partner with local non-profit organizations to leverage their experience and resources to help our residents. Some current partners include the Red Cross, Second Harvest Food Bank, Mission Hospital, Helping Hands, Gavilan College and many other fine local groups.

SPARC is an efficient, user-friendly partner. Of the thousands of residents in Mobile Home communities, approximately 80% live in extremely-low, very-low or lower income households, so we provide a critical mass of potential clients to our non-profit partners. the communities have Clubhouse and Kitchen facilities, meeting rooms and many resident volunteers that can assist with logistics.
