🇺🇸 In the spirit of Election Day, I am sharing my recent Team Kids visit to NYC, then to Washington DC 🇺🇸

🏡 Thank you to my lifetime friend and Team Kids Board Member Christine Carbonel Schaubach for welcoming me back “home” to North Arlington. I’m excited for possibilities to bring Team Kids back to Virgina.

🍎 It was fabulous to introduce our Team Kids Advisory Board Member John McLaughlin, with the United States Department of Education, to CSUF Dean Jessica Stern and partner Cherie Rollap! Our discussions were filled with strategies to empower young leaders from kindergarten to grad school, and from OC to NYC and DC!

🙂 Christine and I wrapped up my trip with an incredible meeting with Christy Cole, the CEO of Alrington Community Fondation. I’m excited about the momentum and grateful for such incredible partners.

🗳️ It was a beautful fall day and I waked 25,000 steps. Being in Washington DC just days before our election was a bit surreal in light of the division in our nation. We will have a lot of work to do regardless of the outcome to unite around this amazing country.

✅ Members serve full-time from September 2024 to June 2025, receiving benefits such as a living allowance, education award, nonprofit exposure, and much more!

Such a wonderful evening with our Team Kids Youth Council together in person. So exciting to welcome four new members tonight: Nastya, Max, Katie and Noah. Extra special to have Nastya and Max, both have arrived with their families a few weeks ago from Ukraine. Seeing these teens smiling, laughing and planning ways to help others is truly an amazing gift. 🥰

Servathon starts tomorrow... excited for a great week and a shout out to all our past TKYC and chaperones who we will miss.

Thanks for your commitment and leadership that created the base for our continued Servathons.

If anyone wants to join us for Best Day at Camp Pendleton tomorrow morning (7:30-2:00pm) let me know.
